Patient Participation Group

Our Patient Participation Group are people who are registered Patients of our Practice. The group has been in existence since 2010. It meets every 2 months from 6pm to 7pm on a Wednesday evening and meets at the Surgery.

The group discusses and comments on the following:

  • The annual Patient questionnaire
  • Practice developments
  • How access arrangements to the Practice could change
  •  Services offered by the Practice
  • Local NHS issues

If there is anything you feel you would like to put to the Group for discussion please let us know via the suggestion box in the surgery.

 Items discussed will be recorded in the minutes and can be found on this website.

The National Association of Patient Participation

The national association for patient participation aims to promote the role and benefits of PPGs to patients, the public and health professionals, to create more understanding of the value of true patient participation also to promote the support available from N.A.P.P.

The information you supply us will be used lawfully, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. The Data Protection Act 2018 gives you the right to know what information is held about you and sets out rules to make sure that this information is handled properly.

YOU SAID WE DID!

At The Grove Road Practice, we value all patient feedback and use it to improve our services. The following changes were implemented based on feedback from our wider patient group:

You said ” we would like blood tests to be available at the surgery” We did! We now have blood test appointments available on several days of the week.

You said “we would like more appointments available to booked online” We did! now have several appointments available for online booking.

You said “less information/posters in the waiting room – too much” We did! All posters/leaflets were taken down and revised. Only relevant posters were put back and in a more organised manner.

You said “we would like for FCP/physio appointments” We did! More appointments are available with the FCP at various times.

You said “we would like an improved telephone system” We did! The telephone system was upgraded with a better calling experience with relevant signposting messages.
